The next part of the tour was a look through the Lords Cricket Museum.

The most famous cricket trophy in the game : the ASHES (England v Australia).  In reality, this trophy is smaller than 10 cm.

The series between both countries is called the Ashes, ever since England was defeated in its soil for the first time and as a symbolic gesture, the bails of the wicket was burned, and its ashes was sent back to Australia.  The following year, England went to Australia, and defeated them, and as a friendly gesture, they returned the 'Ashes' back to England.  Ever since, the series is called the Ashes.

When Australia defeated England, this was the headline of a English Newspaper:

"In remembrance of English Cricket, which died at the Oval on August, 1882 ... N.B. The body will be cremenated and the ashes taken to Australia."

The trophy and the crementated body (the burned bails in the bag).

The even have the following in the Museum:

The officially signed match bat of the 1999 World Cup Final, between Australia and Pakistan, and again, Pakistani will tell you who won that game. Won't you?
